The following routes are recommended for Falcons’ fans attending the first preseason home game of the year as the Falcons take on the Colts.

ATLANTA – June 6 – Weather permitting, GDOT will continue its weekend work on the Downtown Connector Resurfacing Project starting this evening.
Weekend work will begin today, Friday, June 6 at 9 p.m. and conclude Monday, June 9 at 5 a.m.

THE WORLD’S TOP DRUM CORPS RETURN TO ATLANTA THIS SUMMER
INDIANAPOLIS – May 14 – Drum Corps International (DCI), the non-profit event producer of the world’s most elite and exclusive marching music ensembles, will return this summer to Atlanta on Saturday, July 26. More than 3,000 student musicians and performers will be featured as part of this competitive annual event taking place at the Georgia Dome. |
SEC MEN'S BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT TICKET REFUND POLICY ANNOUNCED
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., March 25 – The Southeastern Conference will refund fans holding tickets that were purchased through an authorized agent to games moved during the 2008 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament in Atlanta, March 14-16.
Games from sessions 4, 5, and 6 were moved to Alexander Memorial Coliseum at Georgia Tech University after a tornado struck the Georgia Dome on March 14. Fans holding tickets to these sessions were unable to attend games played at the Georgia Tech facility. Access to these games was limited to student-athletes’ family members, cheerleaders, bands and other credentialed individuals. |
Shows begin move in at the GWCC
ATLANTA – March 24, 2008 – International Window Coverings Expo, scheduled for March 26 through March 29, and National Propane Gas Association, March 29 through March 31, began to move their shows into the Georgia World Congress Center on Monday morning. The two events will bring a combined impact of nearly $14 million in direct spending to Atlanta. |

For the seventh time in eight years, Monster Jam has sold out the Georgia Dome. The last of the more than 66,000 tickets for the event sold at approximately 4 p.m., Friday, January 12, marking the quickest sellout of Monster Jam in event history. Please keep in mind that tickets to the 2007 Monster Jam will not be on sale at the Dome Ticket Office on event day. All tickets for this event are advance purchase. |
BOBBY PETRINO APPOINTED AS FALCONS NEW HEAD COACH

DOME SOLD OUT FOR HONDA BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2006
Due to the POPULAR DEMAND, THE 4TH Annual Honda Battle
of the Bands has sold out the 65,000-seat Georgia Dome
for the third consecutive year. Honda thanks those who
have supported this unique and exciting event that showcases
the pageantry, heritage and showmanship of Black college
bands. |

DOME SOLD OUT FOR MONSTER JAM 2006
For the sixth time in seven years, Superbowl of Motorsports
Monster Jam has sold out the Georgia Dome. The last
of the over 66,000 tickets for the event sold at approximately
9 a.m., Friday, January 13, marking the quickest sellout
of Monster Jam in event history. |
THIS
WEEKEND FULL OF ACTIVITY DOWNTOWN
Downtown
will be full of fun activites this weekend. From the
Atlanta Boat Show and Monster Jam on the Georgia World
Congress Center Campus to a Hawks game and Aerosmith
concert at Philips Arena, downtown will draw thousands
of enthusiastic attendees for these events. |

DOME HOSTS THREE GAMES IN FOUR DAYS
No one was busier over the New Years weekend than the
Georgia Dome. With the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, the last
Falcons game of the season and a one-time opportunity
to host the Sugar Bowl, the Dome was home to three football
games in four days—a phenomena the stadium has
never experienced. |

The Georgia Dome announces its new Director of Business
Development, Tiffany W. Daniels, who will begin work
on Jan. 2, 2006. Carl Adkins, general manager of the
Georgia Dome, announced the hire on Dec. 7. |

SUGAR BOWL TEAMS ANNOUNCED
Southeastern Conference Champion University of Georgia
Bulldogs will face West Virginia University, the champions
of the Big East Conference in the 72nd Nokia Sugar Bowl
Classic Jan. 2, 2006 at 8:30 p.m. in Atlanta’s
Georgia Dome. The game was moved to the Georgia Dome
after the Louisiana Superdome was heavily damaged by
Hurricane Katrina. |

SUGAR
BOWL '06 TO BE HELD IN ATLANTA
The
Sugar Bowl Committee has announced that it will stage
the 72nd Nokia Sugar Bowl Football Classic on January
2, 2006 in Atlanta's Georgia Dome and will use proceeds
generated by that Bowl Championship Series (BCS) game
to support the hurricane relief efforts in its native
New Orleans. |

RETURNS
The Georgia Dome and Georgia World Congress Center welcome
back MegaFest 2005, taking place August 3-6. The "Total
Christian Experience" for the entire family, MegaFest
is a four-day, three-night festival that will feature
three conferences that promote family, fellowship and
fun. The event will include ministry, seminars, and
entertainment for all age groups. |

It's time for Vibe MusicFest! Concerts, expos, and the

Dome Friday June 10 and June 11, while the VIBE MusicFest
Expo takes place June 11 and 12 at the Congress Center;

What a game, what a game .. And those Atlanta fans!
The Georgia Dome was full of energy Saturday with a
sold-out crowd cheering on Atlanta's favorite hometown
team to a 47-17 victory of the St. Louis Rams. The Falcons
were on fire, with running back Warrick Dunn rushing
for 142 yards and two touchdowns, quarterback Michael
Vick running for 119 yards and cornerback Allen Rossum
running for 152 yards in punt returns - an NFL playoff
record!

Encourage All Fans to Support Tsunami Relief
The Atlanta Falcons and CARE are calling on all fans
to join the team in helping the millions of people devastated
by the tsunami in Southeast Asia last month. This epic-sized
natural disaster has tragically impacted people worldwide
and they need our support. We encourage all fans attending
the Divisional Playoff game on January 15 to please
help them by donating $1 per person to CARE and Falcons
volunteers upon entering all gates of the Georgia Dome.

Primetime
Playoffs at the Dome
The Rams will see red as Falcons fans wear red and cheer
for our favorite team this weekend at the Dome. The
playoff game will be Saturday, Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. on
FOX. Falcons fever is high as tickets for the game sold
out in 11 minutes last week. The Rams defeated Seattle
over the weekend for a shot to come to the Dome and
take on the Falcons.

Flight
to the Finish!
In the last home game of the regular season, Michael
Vick took flight to bring home a comeback overtime
victory over the Carolina Panthers. With under two
minutes left in the fourth quarter, Vick dove into
the end zone, tying the game 31-31 and giving the
energy to earn a quick 34 - 31 overtime win, and an
11 -3 record.
